The push and pull of our mind space

Humans maintain a mind space - an ever-present consciousness occupied and filled permanently with experiences and thoughts. Sharing this mind-space with others is a push action that we receive. Sure, in conversations one asks questions and this is a pull, but the responder always filters through the lens of their own mind space and their response will always let this show.

LLMs are mostly pull - you have to ask them to extract information from them. With agentic flows this pull nature of LLMs could be hidden, but it still does not have yet free will to decide that it wants to share an infinitesimal part of their knowledge with you.

Ironically, a lot more of the AI compute use is apparently used for Recommender Systems - a push system for recommending your next streaming show, music, social media post, etc.:
